Elecnova launch it's first Power Quality project in Asian Economic Engineer Country--Indonesia

Today, Indonesia is the most dynamic economies of the Asian countries. It’s also the second large economies which kept double digi growth in recent years. A great amount of young generation brings huge demand of data usage. As a leader in the Indonesian data center industry, DCI Indonesia is committed in developing the largest data center ecosystem in the country. As a milestone, The third data center building (JK3) has started its operations last year in June 2020, and is expected to support the development of digital technology in Indonesia.

The increase in the use of the Internet and data services can be seen during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. Some cellular operators stated that Internet traffic increased at a range of 20% - 50%. Specific examples are 3 telecommunications internet data traffic rose 57% on the first day of Eid al-Fitr 2020, followed by Telkomsel with an increase of 49.8%, and also Indosat Ooredoo by 27%. Businesses have also started adopting data intensive applications such as IoT, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. This translates to the surge of data exchanged and transferred and increased traffic.

Data center demand in Indonesia According to Cushman & Wakefield, Hyperscale data center demand in Indonesia will increase for several years ahead. Data centers that are reliable, scalable and have high security is mandatory. New research from Google, Temasek and Bain & Company in the report e-Conomy SEA 2019 predict the growth of the digital economy in Indonesia will reach 133 million US dollars in the year 2025.

In the new normal era, the data center and cloud computing turn has proven to be powerful tools for business, education and other sectors that utilize technology and digital infrastructure. Looking at the market increase, DCI Indonesia also supports the growth of the data center market in Indonesia with a capacity of 12 MW through its third data center building (JK3) in Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java. With the JK3 building in operation, DCI adds a capacity of up to 20% to the data center market in Indonesia from the total available of around 50-70 MW. Besides this, DCI Indonesia is currently in the process of constructing a new building (JK5) with a capacity of 15 MW in the 8.5-hectare data center campus area which is capable of accommodating a total IT capacity of more than 200 MW.

With the help of partner PT. ELEKTRINDO SARANA ABADI, Sfere Electric step up its power quality business under their world trade brand ELEVNOVA . The initial participation project is the JK5 data center project by DCI Indonesia. JK5 data center as the phase V of DCI Indonesia, 2355A AHF harmonic filter modules will be launch as the replace for the last generation product. 19units of Wall-mounted AHF modules and 13units of Rack-mounted AHF modules will be install in JK5 in the May of 2021.
